Job Title: Azure Data Engineer Experience: 6+ Years Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions using the Azure ecosystem. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and efficiently processed for business intelligence and analytics. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable and reliable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory , Azure Synapse , and Databricks Develop and optimize data models in Azure SQL , Data Lake , and Synapse Analytics Integrate data from various sources (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured) into the cloud data platform Implement and monitor data quality, validation, and transformation processes Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions Ensure security, governance, and compliance best practices in data handling Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and other engineers to support machine learning and reporting use cases Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, processes, and solutions Required Skills: 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Azure cloud technologies Strong experience in Azure Data Factory , Azure Synapse , Azure Data Lake (Gen2) , and Databricks Proficiency in SQL , PySpark , Python , and performance tuning of complex queries Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps Hands-on experience with Delta Lake , Lakehouse architecture , and Parquet/ORC formats Experience in data orchestration, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments Familiarity with Azure security , RBAC , data encryption , and monitoring tools Good understanding of data governance , lineage , and cataloging (e.g., Purview is a plus) Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate Experience with Power BI or other visualization tools Exposure to streaming data (Event Hubs, Kafka, etc.) Background in data warehousing and BI environments
