Role Overview

Azure APIM Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage

    Azure API Management (APIM)

    policies, developer portals, and complete API lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver

    secure, scalable, and high-performance API integrations

    .
  • Automate deployments using

    CI/CD pipelines

    and

    Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

    tools.
  • Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot API performance with

    Azure monitoring tools

    .
  • Ensure compliance with

    security, governance, and regulatory standards

    .

Required Skills & Expertise

API Management & Integration

  • Strong hands-on experience with

    Azure API Management

    (API import/export, policy configuration, developer portal, versioning, revisions).
  • Expertise in

    RESTful API design

    and

    OpenAPI/Swagger documentation

    .

Security & Governance

  • Proficiency in

    OAuth2, JWT, API key management

    .
  • Experience with

    Azure Key Vault

    and

    RBAC

    .
  • Solid understanding of

    compliance and governance

    in cloud environments.

DevOps & Automation

  • Experience building

    CI/CD pipelines

    using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Scripting skills in

    PowerShell, Bash, or Python

    .
  • Familiarity with

    Terraform or Pulumi

    for Infrastructure as Code.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Hands-on expertise with

    Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics

    .
  • Ability to

    debug, optimize, and enhance API performance

    .
