AWS Application Architect

Required Technical Skill Set

• Hands on experience and proficiency in designing and developing microservices in AWS using Java Spring boot / .Net technologies.
• Troubleshooting issues using service logs and implement fix.
• Optimize the application performance by making change in application and service deployments.
• Experience using enterprise service bus – such as MSK, Event Bridge or other middleware.
• Use of Compute engine services for container clusters (EKS, Fargate) or Serverless Technologies such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway and Step Functions.
• CICD with integration with Sonar and VA tools in the pipeline.
• API design, development, provisioning, hosting, integrations, and management.
• SSL Key integration in development and hosting in services at different network layers.
• Review and suggest Testcase, plan and Test data creation. Drive Test execution for Unit test, Integration test and Performance test.
• Create reusable architecture diagrams using AWS components
• Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Service activation strategies for cloud-migration.
• Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
• Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.
• Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

1. Strong experience in Java Spring boot / .Net microservice and REST services
2. Compute services- Fargate, ECS, EKS and EC2, Lambda
3. Experience in API Gateway, MSK, Application load Balancer
4. DevOps, integration with QA tools, VA security tools, S3 and DB
5. In memory DB in sync and async implementations.
6. Experience in API management and integrations in AWS solutions.
7. Good knowledge in Kafka and other middleware technologies
8. SSL and TLS setup with Kafka, API gateway and Java applications
9. Knowledge of basic networking – Proxy, VPN, Firewall, Gateway, Security groups, Load balancers, certificates are required.
10. Database RDS, Aurora - Postgres, MySQL engine, No Sql – Dynamo DB, MongoDB etc.
