About the Role

AWS Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain

  data pipelines

  using AWS services such as

  Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EMR, Kinesis,

  and

  Data Pipeline

  .
• Build and optimize

  data lakes

  ,

  data warehouses

  , and

  analytics platforms

  using

  S3, Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation

  , and

  Glue Catalog

  .
• Develop and implement

  ETL/ELT workflows

  for structured and unstructured data.
• Work with stakeholders (data analysts, data scientists, business teams) to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement

  data quality

  ,

  data governance

  , and

  security best practices

  (IAM, KMS, encryption, access control).
• Optimize performance and cost for AWS-based data workloads.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve reliability of data pipelines.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows using tools like

  CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitHub Actions

  , etc.
• Work with

  Python, SQL, PySpark

  , or similar languages for data transformations.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience as a

  Data Engineer

  .
• Strong experience with

  AWS analytics and compute services

  :
• S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EC2, EMR
• Redshift, DynamoDB, Athena, Kinesis
• Strong programming experience in

  Python

  and

  SQL

  ; familiarity with

  PySpark/Spark

  .
• Experience with

  data modeling

  (dimensional, relational, star/snowflake schemas).
• Experience building and maintaining

  ETL/ELT

  pipelines.
• Solid understanding of

  cloud security, networking

  , and AWS IAM.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD processes.
