Job Title: AWS Cloud Solutions Architect / Cloud Presales Engineer

Location: Remote (Preferred: Candidates working in overlapping hours with U.S. time zones)

Job Summary:

AWS Cloud Solutions Architect / Cloud Presales Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1.Engage with clients to understand existing infrastructure and future scalability goals.

Assess client environments and design right-sized AWS architecture aligned with business and performance needs.

2.Provide accurate cost estimations using tools like AWS Pricing Calculator and TCO tools.

Identify and recommend cost optimization opportunities (e.g., Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Spot Instances).

3.Prepare and present technical proposals and architecture diagrams during pre-sales engagements.

4.Create Infrastructure-as-Code templates using CloudFormation or Terraform for repeatable deployment.

5.Use AWS Well-Architected Tool to validate architecture best practices.

6.Collaborate with engineering teams to implement cloud solutions or guide them through architecture deployment.

7.Stay current with AWS service updates and FinOps best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

Cloud Architecture:

Cost Estimation & FinOps:

Proficient with AWS Pricing Calculator, TCO tools, Cost Explorer

Experience recommending Savings Plans and RI purchases

Basic to intermediate knowledge of FinOps practices (FinOps Certified Practitioner a plus)

DevOps & Tools:

Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation and/or Terraform

AWS Well-Architected Tool for reviews and assessments

Certifications:

Required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate

Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

Bonus: FinOps Certified Practitioner or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

1.5+ years in cloud solution architecture or pre-sales engineering roles

2.Experience working directly with enterprise clients or in a client-facing role

3.Ability to communicate complex technical ideas in clear business terms

4.Strong presentation and documentation skills

Nice to Have:

1.Hands-on experience with cloud migration projects

2.Background in cloud cost governance and optimization programs

3.Familiarity with other cloud platforms (Azure/GCP) is a plus
