AVP VETTING OPERATIONS

As an Assistant Vice President Vetting Operations at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in supporting vetting management and operations in the region. Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting vetting management and operations related to the region. - Ensuring effective processes are in place to facilitate service between HSBC and the vendor, including regular engagement and challenging processes, invoices, etc. - Developing a strong understanding of the unique aspects and challenges of each Business Line to enable targeted messaging and service provision. - Continually reassessing operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, considering changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology. - Adhering to internal controls by following relevant procedures, maintaining appropriate records, and implementing internal and external audit points in a timely manner. Qualifications required for this role include: - Good understanding of HSBC Group structures, processes, and objectives. - Knowledge of the external environment including regulatory, political, and competitors. - Proven experience in supporting stakeholders and driving change. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. - Interpersonal communication and presentation skills. - Project and/or change management skills are advantageous. - Ability to work independently, exercise discretion, complete assignments timely, and facilitate audit reviews. - Data analytics skill, strategic thinking, and learning agility.
