Job Description

As an Assistant Vice President- Pan-bank CCO Support at Barclays, your role will involve spearheading the evolution of the digital landscape and driving innovation to ensure unparalleled customer experiences. You will be responsible for assessing the integrity and effectiveness of the bank's internal control framework to mitigate risk and protect operational, financial, and reputational risk. **Key Responsibilities:** - Demonstrate knowledge of Risk & Control function in Investment Banks Banking/Global Markets division. - Possess excellent organizational and project management skills to multi-task and work under pressure. - Exhibit a strong work ethic, discipline, and experience in a control, governance, or oversight function. - Interact with stakeholders, present at meetings, and support/challenge stakeholders where necessary. - Share information, transfer knowledge, and expertise to team members effectively. - Communicate clearly and succinctly through verbal and written updates. **Qualifications Required:** - University degree or equivalent educational qualification. - Proven project management, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads. - Experience in developing and implementing strategy and process improvement initiatives. - Competency with MS Suite, LEAN/Six Sigma would be an added advantage. In your role, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the bank and various business units to improve control effectiveness by assessing risks, documenting control assessments, and identifying potential weaknesses. You will develop reports to communicate key findings from risk assessments and execute reviews to ensure the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework. As an AVP, you are expected to advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. You will lead a team, set objectives, coach employees, and ensure performance relative to objectives. Additionally, you will collaborate with other functions/business divisions, identify ways to mitigate risk, and develop new policies/procedures to support the control and governance agenda.
