Job Description

As an Avaloq Business Analyst at Barclays, your role involves supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality, and governance standards. You will spearhead the evolution of the digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence to ensure unparalleled customer experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize your working knowledge of banking products and experience with Avaloq or other core banking solutions (e.g. Finacle, T24, BaNCS) - Understand and work within the software development lifecycle - Possess good knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Service Now, and Agile - Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and a proven track record in the financial services industry, particularly in complex business and architecture environments - Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills - Hold a Masters or Bachelors Degree, preferably in Computer Science/Engineering Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience in application development, particularly Oracle PL/SQL in banking applications/products (Avaloq knowledge would be an advantage) - Experience in a large IT organization working in a support environment with mission-critical complex systems and reliance on batch processing - Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Avaloq script, UNIX, Agile Central, Jira, and SVN In this role, you will collaborate with product owners and technical teams to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap. Your accountabilities include providing subject matter expertise, supporting the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision, collaborating with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, and monitoring product performance for optimization opportunities. You may also be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology expertise. Please note that this role is based in Pune. As an Assistant Vice President, you are expected to advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. You will lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, and coach employees to deliver work that impacts the whole business function. Additionally, you may lead collaborative assignments, consult on complex issues, identify ways to mitigate risks, and collaborate with other work areas to support business activity.
