Automation Tester - Selenium

Description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead automation initiatives using Selenium with Java, ensuring scalable and maintainable frameworks.
• Design and develop API automation frameworks using RestAssured / ReadyAPI.
• Apply strong understanding of Java OOPs concepts, Collections Framework, and exception handling.
• Drive test automation strategy, frameworks, and best practices across teams.
• Participate in all phases of QA lifecycle including test planning, scripting, execution, and defect management.
• Work in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
• Perform SQL validations and work with backend data testing.
• Implement BDD frameworks (Cucumber/JBehave) and maintain CI/CD integrations for continuous testing.
• Create and maintain Test Plans, Test Cases, and Traceability Matrices.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables in an onsite-offshore model.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the QA team.
  

Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable)

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Selenium using Java
• API automation experience using RestAssured / ReadyAPI
  

Desirable Skills (Nice To Have)

• SQL
• BDD frameworks (Cucumber, JBehave)
• CI/CD DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)

• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience using ALM/JIRA.
• Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead medium-sized QA teams.
