About the Role:

Automation Lead

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Drive end-to-end automation strategies across web, API, and CI/CD layers.
  • Manage and mentor a team of automation engineers to deliver high-quality releases.
  • Own test planning, execution, and reporting using tools like

    Jira

    ,

    Xray

    , and

    Zephyr

    .
  • Integrate automation frameworks with tools such as

    Slack

    ,

    New Relic

    , and

    Jenkins

    .
  • Drive test coverage and performance improvements across

    RESTful & SOAP APIs

    using

    Rest Assured

    and

    Postman

    .
  • Collaborate with DevOps to integrate test automation within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure best practices in coding, code reviews, and optimization of test suites.
  • Work closely with product managers and developers in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Participate in

    PI planning

    and

    Agile ceremonies

    to align testing efforts with delivery goals.
  • Implement quality control standards and improve software development processes.


Must-Have Skills:

  • 11+ years of overall experience

    in test automation and quality engineering
  • Strong expertise in

    Java

    ,

    JUnit

    ,

    TestNG

    ,

    Selenium 4.0+

    ,

    Cucumber

    , and

    Optimized BDD

    practices
  • Hands-on experience with

    Rest Assured

    ,

    Postman

    for API testing
  • Experience with

    CI/CD pipelines

    GitHub Cloud

  • Strong knowledge of

    Agile

    ,

    Scrum

    , and

    PI Planning

  • Demonstrated ability in

    team handling

    , project & process management
  • Proficient in

    framework development from scratch

Preferred:

  • Experience with performance monitoring or observability tools
