Automation Engineer-Instrumention

Location - Dubai

Job Purpose:

To design, implement, maintain, and improve instrumentation and automation systems across industrial projects. The role involves hands-on work with PLC programming, control panel design, P&ID documentation, field instrumentation, and collaboration across engineering functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement instrumentation and automation systems in industrial projects.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell) and integrate with HMI/SCADA systems.
• Prepare, review, and update instrumentation documentation, including:
• P&IDs
• Cause and effect diagrams
• Control system architecture
• Loop diagrams and I/O lists
• Interpret and modify P&ID drawings as per project and client requirements.
• Select and configure field instruments (pressure, flow, temperature, level) according to application needs.
• Design and test control panels, including component selection, wiring diagrams, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Support redundant PLC systems (hot standby, dual processors) to ensure system reliability and uptime.
• Participate in FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities on-site.
• Ensure all systems comply with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, or related technical field.

Experience:

• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in Instrumentation & Automation in industrial sectors.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficient in PLC programming (Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD for panel design and drawing interpretation.
• Strong understanding of field instrumentation and process control systems.
• Experience with control panel design, testing, and commissioning.
• Proficient in MS Office and documentation tools.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel for site-based work (FAT, SAT, Commissioning).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹265,332.72 - ₹1,176,959.07 per year
