Auto Parts Sales Representative

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive systems and components, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer service.


  • Assist walk-in and phone-in customers by identifying their parts needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive parts, tools, and accessories for a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
  • Handle sales transactions, prepare invoices, issue quotes, and track orders through inventory and supplier systems.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with restocking, and report low inventory or obsolete parts to management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with retail customers, automotive repair shops, fleet companies, and dealerships.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets through upselling and cross-selling of parts and services.
  • Provide basic technical guidance on installation or compatibility of parts, or refer customers to technical staff as needed.
  • Process returns, exchanges, and warranty claims according to company policies.
  • Ensure the sales floor and parts displays are clean, organized, and visually appealing.
