Job Description

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and distribution. The role ensures seamless coordination between suppliers, production, and sales teams to achieve operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement & Vendor Management:

    • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of materials.
    • Negotiate contracts and build strong relationships with suppliers for quality, cost, and delivery efficiency.
  • Inventory & Material Planning:

    • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock without overstocking or shortages.
    • Implement effective demand forecasting and replenishment systems.
  • Logistics & Distribution:

    • Plan and manage transportation and distribution to ensure on-time delivery.
    • Optimize logistics operations to reduce freight costs and improve service levels.
  • Warehouse Management:

    • Oversee warehousing operations, storage, and material handling.
    • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and audit requirements.
  • Coordination & Communication:

    • Collaborate with production, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain goals with business objectives.
    • Ensure accurate communication of delivery schedules and material status.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Implement process optimization and automation to improve efficiency.
    • Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement.
  • Compliance & Documentation:

    • Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory regulations, and quality standards.
    • Maintain proper documentation for audits and internal reviews.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualification:

    Graduate / Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, or related field. (MBA or specialized certification like CSCP / CPIM preferred.)
  • Experience:

    815 years of experience in Supply Chain / Logistics / Procurement, preferably in Manufacturing, Construction Materials, or FMCG industry.
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
    • Proficiency in ERP / SAP systems
    • Leadership and team management capability
    • Knowledge of import/export procedures (if applicable)
