Asst Manager - Risk Assurance

As an Assistant Manager in Risk Assurance, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering internal audit and risk management engagements. Your role will involve identifying risks, evaluating controls, and ensuring compliance with internal policies, statutory requirements, and best governance practices. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and execute risk assurance, internal audit, and compliance assignments across business units. - Identify control gaps, assess risks, and recommend practical mitigation measures. - Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, business processes, and risk management systems. - Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, root causes, and recommendations. - Work with management to ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations. - Support in developing and implementing risk management frameworks and policies. - Assist in enterprise risk assessments and control testing (SOX, IFC, etc.). - Liaise with external auditors and regulators as needed. - Provide insights on process improvements and operational efficiency. - Stay updated with regulatory changes and emerging risk trends. Skills & Competencies: - Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks. - Knowledge of SOX / IFC / ISO / COSO frameworks preferred. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and audit tools (e.g., ACL, IDEA). - Ability to manage multiple assignments and deliver within deadlines. - Strong interpersonal skills and team management experience. Preferred Background: - Experience in Risk Advisory, Internal Audit, or Assurance services (preferably from Big 4 or consulting background). - Exposure to industries like Manufacturing, FMCG, Financial Services, or IT/ITES will be an added advantage.
