Job Description

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Injection Moulding Process Support

  • Oversee and maintain electrical systems of Injection Moulding Machines, hot runner systems, hydraulic & servo drives, and auxiliary equipment (chillers, dryers, loaders, mould temperature controllers).
  • Ensure PLC, automation, and control panels are functioning reliably to support cycle times and product quality.
  • Implement PM schedules to reduce machine downtime and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

2. Metal Cans Manufacturing Process & Utilities Management Support

  • Manage electrical systems for metal printing presses, coating machines, curing ovens, slitting, welding, and seaming machines.
  • Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize stoppages in continuous operations.
  • Ensure uninterrupted supply and maintenance of utilities such as:
    • HT/LT power distribution systems
    • DG sets, transformers, switchgears
    • Compressors, chillers, cooling towers
  • Optimize utility energy usage and introduce power-saving initiatives.

  • Establish and enforce PM schedules for machines and utilities with strict adherence.
  • Ensure root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Maintain a robust spares management system to avoid downtime.

4. Safety, Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure electrical safety practices as per statutory norms.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits regularly.
  • Maintain all records of PM, BD, and statutory compliance for audits and certifications (ISO, customer audits, etc.).

5. Team & Vendor Management

  • Lead and mentor the electrical maintenance team.
  • Coordinate with vendors/OEMs for AMC, spare parts, and technical support.
  • Drive skill development and training of team members on latest electrical/automation practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
  • 812 years’ experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in Injection Moulding industries.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial/leadership role.
  • Knowledge of PLC/automation, servo systems, HT/LT distribution, and utilities management.
