Job Description

Role & responsibilities

strategic sourcing

2. Monthly schedule planning, procurement of all items needed.

3. Manage Inventory at optimum level.

4. Implement of cost reduction projects

5. Identification and development of new suppliers and subcontractors.

6. Price breakup and negotiation

7. Procure at the Lowest Price, Best Quality and Fast Delivery

8. Material accounting and audit at sub-contractors end

9. Logistics of inbound and outbound materials.

10. Coordination with Production / Stores / Quality /Engineering/ PPC / Finance / Sales/ NPD depts.

11. Supplier parts quality improvements and problem resolving

12. Continuous Improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

Min 4 years experience in Manufacturing industry preferably Automotive sector

– with exposure to purchase of Steel Bars and Tubes,

Sheet Metal, Industrial Hose, Consumables

and Subcontract Machining activities. This position

caters

to units in Bangalore, Dobespet,

Hosur .Pant Nagar ( Uttarakhand) and Hoshiarpur ( Punjab)
Candidates from Ludhiana/ Hoshiarpur / Jalandhar and familiar with market preferred.

Subcontracting process knowledge
Subcontracting Supplier base enhancement
Negotiation and commercial skill
Cost reduction thru VA / VE
Knowledge in various manufacturing processes
Process mapping and cycle time study
Knowledge in supplier base for various commodity.
Supplier evaluation, assessment and development
Familiarity with ERP.
Knowledge in Problem solving techniques
Bench marking,
Exposure to TS 16949, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards,
Familiar with TQM, PPAP & APQP practices
