Job Description

As a Business Development professional responsible for managing the Rooftop business for Eastern India, you will play a crucial role in acquiring new customers for on-site/off-site solar projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Acquiring new customers for on-site/off-site solar projects. - Closing RTS (Rooftop) / BTM (Behind the meter) transactions in Eastern states. - Demonstrating good technical and commercial knowledge on BOQ for RTS BTM Projects. - Engaging in pre-sales activities such as understanding client requirements, conducting site feasibility studies, and preparing proposals. - Building and maintaining relationships with relevant business associates and channel partners. - Managing existing customers from pre-sales to project delivery and collections, resolving any issues that may arise. - Generating BOQ after site visits and possessing statutory knowledge of RTS/BTM projects in states like Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Assam, etc. - Utilizing working knowledge of Project Management to ensure project success. - Leading technical and commercial negotiations of power purchase agreements (PPA) and ensuring order finalization. - Developing a marketing strategy to expand into new states. - Coordinating with various functions, primarily Engineering, Procurement, Project, and Investment. The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills and qualifications: - 3-4 years of B2B experience in business development, preferably in the solar Rooftop sector. - Experience working with C&I consumers. - Proficiency in negotiating long-term Power Purchase Agreements and EPC contracts. - A degree in B.Tech/B.E (in any stream); candidates with an MBA would be preferred. - Excellent interpersonal skills and technical abilities to collaborate effectively with Engineering for finalizing project details like capacity.
