Job Description

Role Overview: You will be joining Brightly Software India Private Limited, a Siemens company, as an Associate Test Engineer (Automation) in the Research & Development field. In this role, you will be supporting the application platforms in the Engineering department with a strong emphasis on product quality. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining test scripts, investigating defects, executing test cases, and tracking defects to closure. You will work in a fast-paced environment alongside top-notch engineers and product teams to ensure the success of the company's ambitious products and integrations. Key Responsibilities: - Support the application platforms in the Engineering department with a strong inclination towards product quality - Develop and maintain test scripts based on functional and technical designs - Investigate defects to determine the root cause - Execute test cases, log defects, and maintain test documentation - Track defects to closure - Stay organized and multitask effectively in a dynamic work environment Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline; or equivalent work experience - 0-1 years of experience in data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming, databases, SQL, and web programming - Strong communication and partnership skills - Knowledge of programming languages and frameworks such as Java/J2EE with Spring Boot - Familiarity with databases like MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and web/application servers like Tomcat - Experience with unit testing frameworks like Junit and version control tools like Git/SVN - Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS/GCP - Involvement in open-source contributions, repositories, personal projects, and participation in communities of interest, meetups Additional Company Details: Brightly Software, a Siemens company, is committed to creating a brighter future through smarter infrastructure that protects the environments connecting us all.
