Associate, Research and Data Services

Role Overview: As an Associate in the Research and Data Services (RDS) department at Bain & Company in Gurgaon, India, you will be responsible for providing desktop research support to consulting teams and Industry/Capability practice teams. Your role will involve conducting business research using a variety of traditional and alternative desktop sources to support case work, intellectual property, and product development. You will have the opportunity to specialize in a specific practice area or subject matter as per business needs. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct business research for case teams and practice teams by utilizing desktop databases, public resources, and other business tools under the guidance of supervisors or experienced colleagues. - Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing local, regional, and global data sources effectively. - Deliver accurate, well-organized, and comprehensive research output to support client projects. - Develop relationships with internal stakeholders, gather feedback on research, and address any issues. - Participate in asset-building activities such as database evaluation, knowledge sharing, and research tool innovations. - Track and record research requests in a timely and accurate manner. - Participate in ongoing product and service evaluations and resource development activities. Qualifications Required: - A degree in business from an accredited university or equivalent higher education degree. - 0-2 years of experience in conducting business research in a fast-paced consulting, market research, or other professional services preferred. - Fluent written and verbal communication skills in the native language and English. - Open-minded attitude and willingness to work early morning shifts. - Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills. - Enthusiastic, dedicated, hardworking, and committed to meeting deadlines. - Proficiency in written and verbal business English. - Experience using commercial databases such as Factiva, LSEG/Refinitiv, CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, etc. - Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and take initiatives to enhance working efficiency. - Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional, customer-focused attitude. - Exceptional attention to detail and an interest in the substance and commercial impact of Bain's work.,
