Associate, Research and Data Services

As an Associate in Research and Data Services (RDS) at Bain & Company, you will be part of a team that specializes in providing high-quality desktop research to support consulting teams and Industry/Capability practice teams. You will work in collaboration with internal stakeholders to deliver accurate and comprehensive research output using a variety of traditional and alternative desktop sources. Your responsibilities will include conducting business research using desktop databases, public resources, and other business tools under the guidance of supervisors or designated experienced colleagues. You will be expected to demonstrate knowledge and effective use of local, regional, and global data sources, while delivering well-organized research results. Additionally, you will develop relationships with internal stakeholders, participate in asset-building activities, and contribute to ongoing product and service evaluations. To excel in this role, you should hold a degree in business from an accredited university or possess an equivalent higher education degree. Ideally, you will have 0-2 years of experience in conducting business research in a fast-paced consulting, market research, or professional services environment. Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both your native language and English are essential, along with exceptional organization, prioritization, and time management abilities. As a successful candidate, you will exhibit an open-minded attitude, a team-oriented approach, and a willingness to adapt to the demands of a fast-paced environment. You should be enthusiastic, dedicated, hardworking, and committed to meeting deadlines. Proficiency in business written and verbal English, experience with commercial databases such as Factiva, LSEG/Refinitiv, CapitalIQ, and Bloomberg, as well as a track record of effectively working with diverse stakeholders are valuable assets. Moreover, you should be proactive in taking initiatives to enhance working efficiency and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
