Associate - Regional Tax

As a member of the Business Data Intelligence Team in the Tax Department, your role will involve working with a global team to drive strategy and maintain the integrity of the firm's compliance with reporting authorities worldwide. Your responsibilities will include accurate and timely account documentation, monitoring, client information reporting, regulatory filings, and providing subject matter expertise during system implementation. You will have the opportunity to optimize procedures through data analytics and technology use. Key Responsibilities: - Work with senior management and teams across regions to drive initiatives and issue resolution - Develop expertise in tax systems and requirements, gaining exposure to multiple business lines - Identify control weakness, mitigate risks, and improve regulatory reporting response times - Act as a risk manager for tax regulatory compliance and participate in firm-wide technology projects - Troubleshoot applications, propose enhancements, and engage with stakeholders - Create and review operational procedures for tax products in collaboration with the product development team - Conduct interviews to gather data for documentation and advocate for end-users - Identify process improvements and apply technology best practices Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in Math, Computer Science, Operations, Accounting, Finance, or related field - Strong communication skills with the ability to prioritize workload and drive results - Leadership abilities with the skill to influence and manage stakeholders - Experience working across products, regions, and functions in the financial services industry - Collaborative, team-oriented, and skilled at building consensus - Ability to remain composed under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Additional Company Details: - Preferred qualifications include strong data analysis skills and experience with tools like Microsoft Excel, SQL, Alteryx, Python, User Testing, Visio, and JIRA - Exposure to decision modeling, process transformations, root cause analysis, and UAT testing - Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, and exposure to AI / LLM - Familiarity with Corporate Tax, Finance functions, and the Financial Services and Banking Industry - Prior experience in translating regulatory guidance into systematic solutions for risk mitigation and compliance mandates.,
