Job Title: Associate – Reconciliation
Location: Chennai

Position Purpose:
The Associate will manage the daily reconciliation operations within the SSC, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality deliverables. The role requires a strong accounting or commerce background, effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, and a proactive approach to process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Responsibilities:
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations across Clearing and Custody Services, Investment Fund Services, and Middle Office operations.
Identify and resolve reconciliation variances, missing balances, and trial balance differences within agreed timelines.
Investigate and resolve open breaks in collaboration with business teams and external parties.
Maintain static data and perform manual imports in Intellimatch (e.g., new account setup, rules creation, batch handling).
Analyze SWIFT message types (MT940/950, MT535/536) to enhance auto-matching accuracy.
Track process issues, escalate unresolved items to Team Lead/Assistant Manager, and ensure timely resolution.
Liaise with IT for flat file discrepancies and data import issues.
Maintain documentation, update procedures, and ensure compliance with BCP/BIA requirements.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of reconciliation tools (preferably Intellimatch).
Understanding of SWIFT messages (MT940/950, MT535/536).
