Job Description

You are invited to apply for the position of Associate - Project Cost Analyst at Genpact. As an Associate - Project Cost Analyst, your responsibilities will include managing the controllership and financial reporting of projects in compliance with internal control rules. You will be tasked with ensuring that project accounting adheres to Company guidelines, defining milestones, and coordinating with the accounting department for revenue recognition. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing project reviews throughout each contract, maintaining consistency with project teams. Your role will also involve analyzing the execution performance and recommending action plans to enhance contract margin and cash profile, as well as developing corrective action plans to address identified risks. You will be expected to expand your knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures in your discipline to execute functional policies and strategies, while continuously developing your functional knowledge and skills. Furthermore, you should have a basic understanding of key business drivers and utilize this understanding to accomplish your tasks. You will collaborate with other teams, understanding how your work integrates with theirs and contributes to the overall area. While you may have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework, you will need to consult more senior team members for issues outside established policies and parameters. To excel in this role, you must possess good interpersonal skills, especially for customer-facing positions where you will build strong customer relationships and act as the interface, explaining technical information to various stakeholders. Minimum qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Commerce with an MBA or an equivalent degree. Proficiency in analytical skills for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualization creation is essential. You should also be proficient in using Excel for data analysis tasks, including formulas, functions, pivot tables, and charts. Preferred skills for this role include the ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve financial issues, proactive team engagement, experience working within a matrix organization with minimal supervision, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders who may lack a technical background. It is also beneficial to have a working knowledge of Oracle, SAP, or similar Projects Accounting modules.
