Associate Project Buyer - C&F

As a member of our team at Volvo Group Purchasing, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of efficient, safe, and sustainable transport solutions. Your expertise in project management and sourcing will be instrumental in driving our mission forward and creating a positive impact on a global scale. Your main responsibilities will include early involvement during the project concept phase, collaborating with key stakeholders to finalize sourcing decisions, and updating SAP ARIBA with essential project information. You will lead cross-functional teams, organize kick-off meetings, and prepare RFQ packages to drive the sourcing process effectively. Forecasting cost evolution and ensuring supplier selection aligns with project targets and timelines will be a key part of your role. Your ability to challenge, negotiate, and report changes after contract signature will contribute to the continuous fulfillment of project targets. Additionally, you will work closely with suppliers to ensure they are prepared for production, monitor and mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvements in your area. To excel in this role, you should hold a University degree in BE / B. Tech in Mechanical/Automobile/E&E and have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a buyer in the automotive industry. Your decision-making skills, ownership mindset, continuous improvement mindset, and excellent communication skills will be essential for success. Strong analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills, along with a good understanding of manufacturing processes and best practice costing, will also be valuable assets. Your interpersonal and networking skills, positive and collaborative mindset, and proactive approach will make you a valuable member of our team.
