Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering Work Experience: 23 years of experience in a relevant role, preferably within the space, satellite, or Earth observation industry. Role Description: We are looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our Ground Software team and drive the execution of mission-critical software projects for satellite operations. The ideal candidate will coordinate across engineering, product, and mission teams to ensure timely delivery, clear communication, and alignment through all phases of development. Responsibilities and Duties: Own end-to-end project execution for Ground Software initiatives, ensuring timely delivery across application development, deployment, and mission-critical services. Collaborate closely with GSS engineers to scope, prioritise, and track tasks related to satellite tasking, data processing, and operational tooling. Manage sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives while ensuring alignment with broader mission timelines and deliverables. Maintain technical fluency in areas such as API design, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Kubernetes), and data handling to effectively coordinate cross-functional discussions. Identify and mitigate risks related to software integration, scalability, and satellite-ground interface reliability. Act as the bridge between engineering, product, and mission operations, ensuring that software development aligns with evolving satellite needs and system constraints. Facilitate and drive effective communication with Satellite Operations, Mission Planning and Platform teams. Come up with a breakdown of high-level requirements into tasks that can be translated into optimistic yet realistic milestones and schedules. Translate requirements into structured development milestones and interface specifications across frontend, backend, and infrastructure teams. Ensure compliance with test plans and standard operating procedures in accordance with industry standards to develop robust firmware updates to the satellite.
