Associate Legal Counsel

As an Associate Legal at our company, you will play a crucial role in managing our electricity regulatory affairs team. Your responsibilities will include: - Assisting in drafting matters for APTEL, CERC, and MERC. - Conducting conferences and daily coordination with the client team, as well as briefings with engaged arguing counsels. - Performing legal research, preparing case summaries, memos, and briefing notes. - Supporting regulatory compliance by tracking relevant laws, policies, and amendments. - Coordinating with external counsels and assisting in litigation or dispute resolution matters. - Maintaining and updating legal documentation, files, and case databases. - Providing legal inputs on ongoing projects during internal meetings. - Ensuring timely filings and responses to regulatory bodies. - Being flexible to work from the client's office on a part-time basis, with a preference for proficiency in both speaking and reading Marathi language. Qualifications & Skills: - 2-5 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or as an individual practitioner. - Understanding or experience in the energy/electricity sector is an advantage. - Strong research, drafting, and communication skills. - Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Electricity Act, energy policies, and contracts. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - High attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
