Associate General Manager- Supply Chain

Role Overview: You will be responsible for Supplier and Contract Management, Project Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement, Cost Control and Financial Performance, Sustainability and Compliance at Piramal Pharma Solutions (PPS). Key Responsibilities: - Identify, evaluate, and manage key suppliers to ensure strong partnerships, quality standards, and on-time delivery for critical engineering projects. - Oversee the negotiation of contracts, including terms, pricing, service levels, and risk management provisions. - Establish risk management frameworks for supplier relationships, ensuring contingency planning and supplier risk mitigation. - Work closely with legal and procurement teams on contract development, review, and execution to ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards. - Collaborate with engineering, project management, finance, and legal teams to ensure procurement activities support project timelines, budgetary constraints, and compliance requirements. - Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on procurement-related issues, trends, and opportunities for cost reduction and value creation. - Drive cost savings and value creation through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and process improvements. - Oversee the budget for procurement-related expenses, tracking and reporting on performance to executive leadership. - Champion sustainable and ethical sourcing practices, ensuring alignment with the company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. - Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and corporate policies across procurement activities. Qualifications Required: - Exceptional negotiation skills with experience managing complex supplier relationships and contracts. - Strong analytical and financial acumen with a focus on cost savings and value creation. - Familiarity with digital procurement tools, usage of AI/ML-based models, experience with procurement platforms (e.g., GEP SMART, SAP Ariba, Coupa), and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, S4HANA, etc.). - Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. - Deep understanding of engineering and capital project lifecycles. - Understanding of contract management procedures and legal compliance. - Knowledge of sustainability practices in procurement and sourcing. - Experience in implementing change management initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
