Job Description

The Corporate and Investment Banking division of the organization provides corporate clients with a comprehensive range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans, and foreign exchange. Through a steadfast commitment, DBS has developed enduring relationships with customers in the region, focusing on account relationship management, service differentiation, product development, and stringent credit standards. As a Relationship Manager within the IBG 4 segment, your primary objective is to acquire and cultivate a well-diversified portfolio. This portfolio should generate revenue from various sources such as assets, trade, cash, treasury, and fees while maintaining an acceptable risk level for the bank. It is essential to adhere to the lending guidelines set forth by the bank to achieve these results effectively. Key responsibilities include sourcing new asset relationships within the IBG 4 segment, ensuring a healthy net interest income and fee revenue, actively cross-selling various banking products, contributing to branch profitability, monitoring the portfolio to maintain delinquency at zero, and executing the IBG 4 business strategy to enhance market share and achieve financial targets. Furthermore, you will be responsible for conducting due diligence on new asset relationships, creating clear account plans for clients, increasing customer wallet share through cross-selling opportunities, closely monitoring accounts for early warning signals, ensuring timely renewals, and complying with all banking processes, policies, and regulatory requirements. To be successful in this role, you should have 3-5 years of overall sales experience, with at least 2 years in SME/Business Banking Lending. A proven track record in asset business sales within the SME/Business Banking segment, knowledge of competitors and the marketplace, and experience in the SME segment are preferred qualifications. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, commerce, an MBA, or be a Chartered Accountant. Strong communication, listening, sales, and negotiation skills are essential, along with knowledge of working capital finance.
