Assistant Vice President in Execution (Investment Banking, Debt Syndic

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly driven and experienced professional to join our Investment Banking Debt Syndication team as Assistant Vice President (Execution). The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end execution of debt syndication mandates, including structuring, negotiations, documentation, and closure across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of debt syndication transactions from mandate signing to financial closure.

• Conduct financial analysis, develop detailed project appraisals, and prepare credit notes, information memorandums, and pitch materials for lenders/investors.

• Liaise with banks, NBFCs, DFIs, and investors to structure optimal debt solutions (working capital, term loans, project finance, structured finance, etc.).

• Manage relationships with promoters, CFOs, and senior management of client organizations to understand funding requirements and business plans.

• Negotiate key commercial terms, coordinate with legal and technical consultants, and manage due diligence and documentation processes. • Track market trends, sectoral developments, and funding opportunities to provide strategic insights and identify new opportunities.

• Work closely with origination teams and senior management to ensure smooth and timely deal execution.

• Maintain strong internal MIS and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Proven expertise in Debt Syndication and Structured Finance execution.

• Strong understanding of financial modeling, credit appraisal, and capital markets.

• Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills with stakeholders across banks, NBFCs, and corporates.

• Strong presentation, communication, and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously with attention to detail and deadlines.

Preferred Background

• 510 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking / Debt Syndication / Corporate Finance / Project Finance.

• Prior exposure to working with large corporates, mid-market clients, and financial institutions.

• Sound knowledge of credit evaluation processes and funding.
