Position Summary: As the AVP Supply Chain at ChemAnalyst, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing the procurement strategies and supply chain operations for our SaaS platform. You will lead and optimize the procurement function by leveraging data, advanced analytics, and market insights provided by ChemAnalyst. The AVP will manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and supplier performance while driving cost efficiency and improving overall procurement processes. This is a high-impact position that requires strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex procurement scenarios in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Procurement Strategy & Leadership: Managing a team of around 100+ team members. Lead the procurement function with a strategic focus on optimizing processes, driving cost efficiencies, and mitigating procurement risks across client organizations. Develop and implement procurement strategies in alignment with ChemAnalysts vision and objectives, ensuring seamless integration with the companys SaaS platform. Oversee the forecasting, budgeting, and vendor management activities to enhance operational efficiency and cost savings. Supplier & Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with contracts. Lead contract negotiations, supplier selection, and performance evaluations to drive value and cost-saving opportunities. Leverage ChemAnalyst’s market intelligence tools to support supplier negotiations and make data-driven procurement decisions. Market Intelligence & Data Analytics: Utilize ChemAnalyst’s proprietary pricing and market intelligence tools to guide procurement decisions, optimize supply chain strategies, and forecast market trends. Analyze procurement data and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions when needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other senior leaders, including finance, operations, and technology teams, to ensure that procurement processes support broader business goals. Collaborate with the product team to understand upcoming product requirements and ensure that procurement strategies align with new initiatives. Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by exploring and implementing new procurement technologies and practices. Champion innovation in procurement workflows, taking advantage of ChemAnalyst's advanced platform to further optimize the supply chain. Qualifications: Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred). Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields, with at least 3+ years in a leadership position. Proven experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and vendor management. Experience in B2B SaaS environments or technology-driven companies is highly desirable. Strong understanding of commodity markets and supply chain dynamics. Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams. Expertise in utilizing procurement and market intelligence platforms (experience with ChemAnalyst or similar tools is a plus). Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Analytical mindset with a focus on leveraging data and market insights for decision-making. Proficiency in procurement software and tools, along with a strong understanding of data analysis and forecasting methodologies. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
