Job Description

You will be responsible for managing compliance activities, leading a team, and ensuring accurate reporting. Your key responsibilities will include: - Lead the preparation of GST/BAS/IAS compliance workpapers and ensure timely submission of filings. - Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and stay updated on any legislative changes. - Collaborate with the Australian team on tax implications of business transactions. - Conduct quality control checks on compliance work prepared by the team. - Lead and mentor a team of compliance specialists in India and Australia. - Delegate tasks effectively, monitor team performance, and provide training on compliance procedures. - Foster a positive and collaborative team environment through regular meetings and performance reviews. - Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and prepare reports as required. - Ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum 5 years of experience in workpapers preparation and compliance handling. - Proven leadership experience and strong communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software like Xero, MYOB. - Prior experience with Australian tax compliance is preferred.
