Assistant Research Officer in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health

(Ref: 533864), to commence as soon as possible for two years on fixed terms, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree with a strong background in public health, medical science, or related disciplines. They should have relevant post-doctoral work experience in managing large-scale research projects with complex datasets. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, be organized, responsible, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team. Experience in data management and data analysis for infectious disease projects would be advantageous.The appointee will oversee data management in the infectious disease epidemiology research group and conduct data analyses for manuscripts, ongoing research, and community projects. He/She will liaise with project managers and the laboratory team regarding samples tested and results analysis; draft reports; supervise and provide technical advice on complex datasets and models for postgraduate students and junior research staff; assist in quality assurance of data, grant administration, teaching support, and perform other duties as assigned.
