Assistant Professor (AI/ML in Medical Imaging Analysis)

As an Assistant Professor at Woxsen University, Hyderabad in the Centre for Biomedical and Applied Clinical Sciences (BioMACS) and Department of Biotechnology, your role will involve expertise in AI/ML in Medical Imaging Analysis. You will be expected to execute consultancy projects, participate in departmental activities, draft and teach certification programs, actively pursue entrepreneurial and start-up activities with students, strengthen industry-academia collaborations, and submit proposals for funding. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement cutting-edge AI and computer vision solutions for high-priority scientific challenges in biomedical imaging. - Develop and optimize state-of-the-art models to extract actionable insights from complex, unstructured biomedical image data. - Clearly articulate complex technical methods and results to diverse audiences to facilitate informed decision-making and drive project success. - Author scientific publications, patents, and technical reports. Qualifications: - Ph.D. (Completed) in Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence/Biomedical Science or related disciplines with expert knowledge in AI-based image processing and analysis and Healthcare-based data analysis from India or Abroad. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, C++, or Java, and with AI frameworks including PyTorch and OpenCV. - Experience with various machine learning techniques and specific architectures such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Vision Transformers (ViTs), and attention-based networks. - Proficiency in statistical analysis and data handling, including data augmentation, data cleaning, normalization, and handling large-scale image datasets. - Strong research and publication record, focusing on applied research and industry collaborations. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, faculty, and industry partners.
