Senior Design Engineer - Electrical

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design and engineering efforts for solar photovoltaic power plant projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, industry best practices, and project requirements.
2. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal locations for solar power plant installations, considering factors such as solar irradiance, terrain, shading, and environmental impact.
3. Develop detailed system designs, including solar array layouts, electrical schematics, equipment specifications, and structural designs, to maximize energy production and efficiency.
4. Select appropriate solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, and other components based on performance, reliability, cost, and compatibility with project requirements.
5. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
6. Prepare technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports, to support project planning, permitting, and construction activities.
7. Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure that designs meet quality standards, performance requirements, and customer expectations.
8. Stay informed about the latest advancements in solar technology, materials, and design techniques, and incorporate innovative solutions to enhance project performance and competitiveness.
9. Discussion and Coordination with Lender's /Owner's independent Engineer. EPC contractor for finalization of generation nos., PR, P50, P75 & P90 probability nos.
10. Preparation of Bill of Material with various options.
11. Sound knowledge about IS & IEC standards.

Qualification:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EEE) or related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and engineering of solar photovoltaic power plants or renewable energy projects.
3. Proficiency in solar photovoltaic system design software (e.g., PVsyst) and electrical engineering software (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD).
4. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, power systems analysis, and solar energy technologies.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross- functional teams and stakeholders.
