Job Summary: The Client Retention and Underwriting Specialist will focus on enhancing client relationships and managing underwriting processes specifically for engineering clients. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial insurance products, risk assessment, and client management. Key Responsibilities: 1. Client Retention: o Develop and execute strategies to improve client retention within the engineering sector. o Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. o Identify opportunities for additional coverage and services to meet evolving client needs. o Collaborate with clients to understand their business and risk exposure. 2. Underwriting: o Evaluate insurance applications related to engineering projects and assess risk levels. o Determine appropriate coverage terms, conditions, and pricing. o Work with engineering underwriters to align risk assessments with underwriting guidelines. o Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in engineering insurance. 3. Reporting and Analysis: o Monitor retention metrics and analyse performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. o Prepare reports and presentations for management on client retention strategies and underwriting results. o Use data-driven insights to enhance client engagement and retention efforts. 4. Collaboration: o Partner with the sales team to support business development initiatives in the engineering sector. o Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and industry stakeholders. o Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to promote the firms services. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field. 0-2 years of experience in client retention, underwriting, or insurance broking within the commercial line. Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, especially for engineering firms. Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and insurance management software.
