Role Overview

The Assistant Manager – Maintenance will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of machines, utilities, and plant facilities. The role involves preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting continuous improvement in equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines and utilities to minimize downtime.
• Ensure availability and smooth functioning of machinery.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic/pneumatic issues on the shop floor.
• Maintain records of machine history, breakdown analysis, and spares inventory.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and other departments for timely issue resolution.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to safety, health, and environment (EHS) standards in maintenance activities.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machines/equipment.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and energy conservation practices.
• Lead a small team of technicians for effective maintenance execution.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing/engineering company (preferably in press shop, fastener, tool, magnet, sheet metal or similar industry).
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance practices.
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC/press machines.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to handle maintenance documentation and reporting.
• Team management and coordination skills.

Compensation

As per industry standards and candidate’s experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
