Key Responsibilities:  Oversee and manage quality control processes to ensure products meet IATF 16949 and ISO standards.  Inspect raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to maintain high-quality standards.  Develop, implement, and monitor QC procedures, SOPs, and inspection protocols.  Coordinate with production, procurement, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues promptly.  Maintain accurate quality records, generate reports, and communicate findings to management.  Conduct internal audits and support external audits to ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards.  Lead and mentor junior QC staff, ensuring consistent adherence to quality practices.  Identify quality improvement opportunities and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).  Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams during new product development to ensure quality standards are integrated.  Monitor key quality metrics, analyze trends, and propose process improvements.  Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality policies at all stages of production.  Review and approve inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.  Implement root cause analysis for recurring quality issues and develop preventive strategies.  Ensure calibration and maintenance of quality testing instruments and equipment.  Drive training programs for production and QC staff on quality standards, best practices, and audit readiness.  Support management in vendor quality management, including supplier audits and quality scorecards.  Promote a culture of quality awareness, continuous improvement, and zero-defect mindset across production units. Experience Requirements:  Manager QC: 6–10 years of experience in quality control in Sheet Metal, Fasteners, Auto/Auto Ancillary/Parts industry.  Assistant Manager QC: 4–6 years of relevant experience.  Associate Manager QC: 0–3 years of relevant experience. Job Description – Tool Room Head Position: Tool Room Head Department: Tool Room Reporting To: Managing Director Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage overall Tool Room operations, ensuring availability and maintenance of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for smooth production. Oversee tool design, development, modification, and preventive/breakdown maintenance of dies and fixtures. Ensure effective utilization of Tool Room machinery (lathe, milling, surface & cylindrical grinding, EDM, wire cut, CNC, etc.). Plan and monitor tool trials, new tool development, and ensure timely completion of tooling projects as per production requirements. Implement tool life monitoring, calibration of gauges/instruments, and ensure adherence to dimensional accuracy using Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Profile Projector, CMM, etc. Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized Tool Room under 5S principles. Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, SMED, 3M, Waste reduction) in tooling activities. Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for tool-related troubleshooting and process improvements. Monitor tool inventory, spare parts, and consumables through SAP/ERP and ensure optimum stock levels. Prepare and manage Tool Room budget, cost reduction initiatives, and OEE/MTTR/MTBF analysis for tools and dies. Train, mentor, and manage Tool Room manpower for skill enhancement and effective shift operations. Required Skills & Knowledge: Strong knowledge of tool & die design, press tools, progressive/transfer dies, jigs & fixtures. Hands-on experience with Tool Room machines and advanced tooling technologies. Good understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and quality inspection methods. Knowledge of raw material specifications for tool making and machining processes. Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems for tool management and reporting. Leadership skills with proven experience in manpower handling and cross-functional coordination. Qualifications & Experience: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Tool & Die Making. Minimum 8–12 years of experience in Tool Room operations, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role. Experience in automotive / fastener / engineering manufacturing/sheet metal industry preferred.
