Job Description

As an Assistant Manager, Supplier Quality at Nextracker based in Hyderabad, you will report to the Manager, Supplier Quality. Nextracker is passionate about its culture, values sustainability, and offers a comprehensive portfolio of intelligent solar tracker and software solutions for solar power plants. **Role Overview:** In this role, you will lead the establishment of Quality Management System (QMS) processes across different locations. Your responsibilities will include developing process documents, work instructions, SOPs, workflows, and exploring automation ideas for documentation and internal processes. You will review customer quality contractual requirements, evaluate quality documents from suppliers, conduct supplier qualification audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead in establishing QMS process across different locations. - Develop process documents, work instructions, SOPs, workflows, etc. - Explore new ideas for automation of documentation and internal processes. - Review customer quality contractual requirements and suggest modifications. - Collate and evaluate quality documents from suppliers and submit to customers on time. - Conduct Supplier Qualification Audit for new suppliers. - Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying quality issues and waste reduction opportunities. - Perform periodic process audits at suppliers and resolve non-conformities. - Support Quality Managers in monitoring and reporting supplier product quality and performance. - Issue Material Dispatch Clearance Certificate (MDCC) to suppliers. - Prepare and share monthly reports on parts, product, and document issues. - Evaluate new requirements by collecting data and generating PPAP requests. - Drive continuous improvements in product quality using Six Sigma methodologies. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical/electronic Engineering with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Management. - Six Sigma green belt certified. - Proficient in quality tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, SPC, Pareto, RCA process. - Certified in QMS, IATF, or VDA lead auditor. - Strong understanding of QMS and process automations. - Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Strong project management and organizational skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Self-driven, self-motivated, and able to make responsible decisions. - Effective communication with senior management and staff. - Great team player with the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
