Job Description

As an Assistant Manager Risk Utility at Barclays, you will spearhead the evolution of the Third-Party Risk & Controls landscape, driving innovation and excellence. Your critical role will involve identifying and managing any third-party risks (both Pre and Post Contract) in alignment with Barclays Enterprise Risk Management Framework. **Key Responsibilities:** - Ensure daily Risk Utility allocated requests are picked up within 24 hours or agreed timelines. - Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to execute all allocated sourcing activities. - Maintain an up-to-date, accurate Tracker and other relevant records for governance. - Communicate project/task completion to all relevant parties in a timely manner. - Study contracts and work with Legal teams to remediate contracts. - Analyze and articulate work with Legal, Sourcing Manager, and Supplier Manager. - Understand various third-party due diligence requirements and associated risks and controls. - Relate sourcing acumen to the underlying needs for risk and control. - Drive process adherence reviews of all sourcing deals and propose actionable outcomes for sustained improvement. **Qualifications Required:** - Experience in Vendor management, Sourcing, or Risk Management with a deep understanding of Enterprise Risk Management Framework. - Ability to review, comprehend, draft, and negotiate 3rd Party control requirements into Supplier Assurance Attestation and other assurances. - Drive Pre-Supplier attestations and service risk evaluation for the function. - Desirable skillsets include an MBA/Post-Grad degree, experience in dealing with Third-Party Risk, process compliance, and Third-Party Assurances, and working within Financial Services Shared Services Sourcing Team. The purpose of this role is to support the Risk Function in safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability by proactively identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business units and activities. If the position has leadership responsibilities, you are expected to demonstrate a clear set of leadership behaviors (Listen, Energise, Align, Develop). As an individual contributor, you will develop technical expertise in your work area, acting as an advisor where appropriate. You will have an impact on related teams within the area and partner with other functions and business areas to strengthen controls and manage risks effectively.
