About the Role

Assistant Manager Record to Report (R2R)

JD_RTR (GL) Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Service Delivery

Manage and deliver core R2R activities including:

GL Accounting, journal entries, cost allocation, data uploads
Monthly and annual close processes
Balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany, fixed assets, bank reconciliations
Review and post adjusting entries and prepare financial statements
Prepare tax workpapers and monthly/quarterly/annual reports
Support teams with accounting queries

Ensure compliance with accounting principles, IFRS, SOX, internal controls, and company policies.

2. Operations Excellence

Drive process improvements and standardization across R2R activities.
Enhance delivery SLAs / KPIs and ensure operational consistency.
Provide subject matter expertise for R2R processes.

3. Governance & Change Management

Support internal leadership with performance review and reporting.
Update and review SOPs, process maps, and documentation.
Lead and support change management initiatives and transformation projects.
Ensure timely escalation and risk mitigation.

4. People Management

Lead a team of 3–8 associates (or operate as an individual contributor as needed).
Manage team performance, resource planning, and hiring of junior team members.
Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.

Skills & Attributes

Strong hands-on knowledge of R2R processes.
Solid accounting understanding and analytical skills.
Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
Prior experience in a BPO / Shared Services environment preferred.
Experience creating SOPs and managing SLAs.
