Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all concrete works (mix design, batching, pouring, curing) meet project specifications and structural safety requirements.
Supervise and approve formwork systems, including alignment, stripping, stability, and reuse in compliance with safety and quality norms.
Conduct and witness field and laboratory tests (slump, cube, NDT, etc.) and review reports to ensure material compliance.
Review and approve Inspection Requests (IRs), pour cards, QA checklists, and method statements submitted by contractors.
Perform daily quality inspections at the site; identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, NCR logs, and testing records in line with ISO 9001/QMS standards.
Coordinate with project consultants, PMC, and contractors to resolve quality issues and ensure smooth workflow.
Participate in regular quality audits, prepare snag lists, and verify closure of all quality observations.

Required Skills and Competencies:

Strong command of Concrete Technology, admixtures, and field execution practices.
Good knowledge of modern and traditional formwork systems (e.g., Mivan, aluminium shuttering, conventional).
Thorough understanding of IS codes (IS 456, IS 10262, IS 516, IS 3370, etc.) and project specifications.
Proficiency in reading civil and structural drawings, and preparing quality documentation. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and contractor-handling skills.

Experience:

5-8 years total experience in QA/QC for civil construction.

Minimum 3 years in a client-side or PMC role, with proven focus on concrete and formwork.
