Assistant Manager - Project Management

As a Project engineering professional at Emerson, you will play a crucial role in supporting project managers in Asia Pacific and Fisher Chennai Engineering Center. Your responsibilities in this role will include: - Owning the overall execution of projects according to the Project Plan developed by the Project Manager, with the goal of on-time delivery - Managing and implementing projects in compliance with company standard procedures and processes - Ensuring compliance with project contractual technical specifications, commercial terms, and conditions - Achieving profit margin forecasts for assigned projects - Participating upfront with the sales team in the project proposal stage - Providing leadership for a comprehensive project team to ensure timely and quality submission of vendor documentation - Managing change orders to improve the financial performance of projects - Performing risk management to minimize project risks - Monitoring and controlling projects from Award to Closure, ensuring project deliverables are met - Maintaining continuous communication with customers, contractors, and LBP throughout the project's lifecycle To excel in this role, you should have: - In-depth knowledge of control valve products and Bill of Material processing - Minimum 12 years of experience in control valves engineering/Project management - PMP certification - Good understanding of product specifications and Incoterms - Ability to develop and present innovative solutions for problems - Awareness of other Emerson products and knowledge of inactive/obsolete/competitor products Preferred qualifications that will set you apart include: - Degree in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering - Strong interpersonal skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills At Emerson, you will join a workplace that values and empowers every employee to grow.
