Assistant Manager- Product & Application Development

As an Assistant Manager- Product & Application Development (AFF) at Huntsman Corporation, you will be a key member of the ISC Polyurethane Technology & Innovation (T&I) team based in Chakan, Pune, focusing on product development, localization, and innovation efforts for the Polyurethanes business in India. **Key Responsibilities:** - Ensure full compliance with safety, health, and environmental guidelines at all areas of responsibility - Understand and practice Automotive and Flexible foams products for different applications - Develop product know-how by collaborating with global and local product development and R&D teams - Work closely with technical and R&D teams on new product developments - Maintain awareness of competition portfolio and enhance market success - Influence key individuals of all disciplines and levels inside and outside the organization - Communicate effectively with different business teams and academics around the world - Propose and write reports for internal use and potential publication or presentation - Be prepared to travel locally and globally and work across international boundaries **Qualifications Required:** - Equivalent of a Masters (M.Sc., M. Tech., or MS) in Chemistry, Materials Science, Applied materials, Industrial Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Polymer Engineering - Experience in Applied Chemistry, polymer chemistry, formulation, prototyping, and advanced characterization - 1-5 years of Product & Application Development, R&D, or experience in a technology-oriented organization - Application development experience in polyurethane based Automotive and flexible foams products - Strong project management skills - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively - Skilled and experienced user of IT tools - Optional: Understanding of global technology Megatrends and drivers - Fluent in English, other languages are an asset **Additional Company Details:** Huntsman Corporation is a global specialty chemical company with locations in 25 countries, offering diverse career fields including manufacturing, research and development, technical services, sales and marketing, and customer service.
