Role Overview

Assistant Manager Packaging Development

Key Responsibilities:

Packaging Design & Innovation

• Develop

  innovative, customer-centric packaging

  for new and existing products.
• Work with diverse materials: corrugated boxes, multilayer films, eco-friendly alternatives, etc.
• Ensure

  aesthetics and functionality

  align with brand values of health, safety, and trust.

Sustainability & Process Excellence

• Drive

  eco-friendly packaging initiatives

  to reduce waste and carbon footprint.
• Identify

  cost optimization

  opportunities without compromising quality.
• Continuously

  improve processes

  for efficiency and recyclability.

Testing & Validation

• Conduct tests using

  ASTM, ISTA 2A/3A, ISO

  standards.
• Perform

  root cause analysis

  and implement corrective actions for failures.

Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Manage

  packaging vendors

  from design to launch.
• Collaborate with

  R&D, Production, Procurement, and Quality

  teams.
• Co-develop

  new materials

  with suppliers to enhance quality.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain

  packaging specifications, protocols, and reports

  .
• Ensure compliance with

  national & international standards

  .
• Oversee compliance with the

  Legal Metrology Act

  for regulated products.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

• B.E/B.Tech

  in Mechanical / Packaging / Printing Technology (Mandatory)

• M.E/M.Tech

  in Packaging / Printing Technology (Preferred)

Experience

• 8+ years

  in packaging development, testing, and validation.
• Prior experience in the

  kitchenware or appliance industry

  is mandatory.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of

  ISO, ASTM, ISTA

  standards.
• Proficiency in

  MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks

  .
• Understanding of

  eco-friendly materials

  and

  Legal Metrology compliance

  .
