Assistant Manager /Manager- Legal

The In-House Legal Counsel will be responsible for managing all legal aspects related to commercial leasing, property transactions, and corporate documentation. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating lease deeds, license agreements, MOUs, LOIs, and related documents to support the companys real estate and business operations. The position will also ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while safeguarding the organizations interests.

Key Responsibilities • Draft, vet, and negotiate lease deeds, leave & license agreements, lease renewals, and other real estate related documents. • Advise business teams on legal matters pertaining to commercial leasing, property & tenant due diligence, and tenant/landlord relationships. • Coordinate with internal departments, external legal advisors, and government authorities for registration and compliance processes. • Manage legal documentation, contract management systems, and maintain updated templates and documentation workflows. • Provide legal input on property acquisition, development, and disposition transactions. • Ensure legal compliance with state and local regulations related to commercial leasing and real estate operations. • Handle dispute resolution, notices, and litigation matters related to leased properties when needed. • Support corporate governance and general legal matters beyond leasing, such as vendor agreements, NDAs, and compliance contracts.

Preferably from legal firm or real estate developer. Strong understanding of property, leasing, and real estate laws in Maharashtra. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Able to articulate principles in legal terminologies and maintain calm during legal negotiations. Ability to work independently with cross-functional teams and meet tight deadlines.
