Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager – Legal will be responsible for managing legal matters related to customer claims, including Ombudsman and Consumer Forum cases.. This role involves representing the company before legal forums, drafting legal documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and coordinating with zonal teams. The incumbent will also handle legal notices and contribute to regulatory reporting, ensuring timely and effective legal support in alignment with organizational and IRDAI standards.

Claims - Legal:

• Ombudsman Cases Management:
• To appear and defend cases before Ombudsman
• Drafting of reply / affidavit etc.
• Satisfaction of Ombudsman awards.
• Filing of writ petition against Ombudsman award.
• Filing of periodic data / reports to IRDAI with regard to Ombudsman cases.
• Overseeing Zones for the above.
• Consumer Cases:
• Appear and defend cases before National /State / District Consumer forums.
• Drafting of reply/ affidavit etc. in cases coming before consumer forums.
• Compliance of consumer forum orders.
• Filing of Appeal against consumer forum orders.
• Filing of periodic data / reports to IRDAI with regard to consumer forum cases.
• Overseeing Zones for the above.
• Legal Notices:
• Replying to legal notices related to customer claims.
