Role Overview:

Assistant Manager Legal (Contracts Team)

Core Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including NDAs, service agreements, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and financial product documents.
• Assist in managing contract lifecycle processes, including execution, renewal, amendment, and termination.
• Liaise with internal business, teams to understand contract requirements and provide actionable legal advice.
• Maintain and update a centralized contract repository and ensure timely alerts for key milestones and obligations.
• Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and data protection/privacy laws and are completed within TAT.
• Coordinate with external counsel when required for specialized contract matters.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of contract templates, playbooks, and standard processes.
• Support internal audits and due diligence processes related to contracts.
• Keep abreast of legal and regulatory changes that may impact the companys contractual obligations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in contract management, preferably in fintech, banking, or NBFC sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Indian contract law and applicable regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a solution-oriented approach.
• Collaborative, dependable, and adaptable to a dynamic fintech environment.
