Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and support procurement strategies for MRO supplies and services.
• Assist in drafting, negotiating, and administering contracts with vendors and service providers.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance in terms of quality, delivery timelines, and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (maintenance, operations, asset management) to forecast MRO needs.
• Monitor procurement expenditures; analyze trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and performance metrics.
• Contribute to risk mitigation strategies related to supplier performance and contract execution.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations) to ensure smooth contract implementation.
• Conduct offer evaluations and commercial comparisons.
• Analyze terms and conditions for commercial and legal soundness.
• Support vendor negotiations to secure favorable terms and strategic partnerships.

Required Skills:

• Solid understanding of MRO procurement and contract management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Vendor assessment and performance monitoring.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting for cost control.
• Working knowledge of

  SAP MM (Materials Management)

  module.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
• Attention to detail and process-oriented mindset.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in

  Engineering (B.E. / B. Tech.)

  or related technical discipline.

• 36 years

  of relevant experience in procurement, contracts, or MRO operations.
• Understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and compliance standards.
