Role Overview: As an experienced Internal Auditor with a strong background in construction and technical audits, you will be responsible for conducting audits of the technical teams to ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Your role will involve evaluating processes, identifying risks, and recommending improvements to enhance operational efficiency and technical accuracy across large-scale construction projects. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and conduct internal audits of technical teams, including engineering, design, procurement, and project management, ensuring compliance with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. - Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of project execution, resource utilization, and adherence to technical specifications and standards. - Identify gaps in processes, technical practices, and policies, providing recommendations to mitigate risks and improve project performance. - Analyze the risks associated with various stages of construction projects, such as design discrepancies, material procurement, and project execution delays. - Evaluate internal controls related to project management systems, contract management, and technical decision-making processes. - Collaborate with teams to identify potential risk areas and recommend control measures to mitigate these risks. - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control measures specific to the construction industry. - Monitor adherence to company policies, contractual obligations, and legal frameworks governing construction projects. - Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations for improvement. - Present audit findings to senior management and technical teams, providing actionable insights to improve processes and project outcomes. - Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions and verify improvements. - Assist technical teams in adopting best practices, optimizing construction workflows, and improving resource efficiency. - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, construction technologies, and changes in regulatory frameworks to ensure the audit process remains relevant and effective. - Promote a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating training sessions on audit findings and process enhancements. - Work closely with technical teams, project managers, and senior leadership to ensure audit findings are understood and addressed promptly. - Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster a collaborative approach to risk management and process improvement. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A certification in auditing (e.g., CIA, CISA) is preferred. - Experience: Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in internal auditing, with at least 3 years in the construction industry or auditing technical teams. - Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, project management, and engineering principles.,
