Assistant Manager I Project Cost Controller

Role Overview: If you aspire to be a Finance Project Cost Controller for a business that implements global projects and is growing rapidly, this role is for you. You will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to track actual costs, compare them to the planned budget, and implement corrective actions whenever necessary. Key Responsibilities: - Review the sales handover file and validate customer purchase orders against the Emerson proposal - Manage fund approval for approved changes on projects - Prepare the Project Information Report for order entry and maintain project data - Monitor project financial health, perform reconciliations, and conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings - Lead the monthly reporting process and provide support for audit requests - Identify efficiency and operational improvements for better financial information - Perform reconciliations and analysis of project EAC - Handle change management by updating project change logs and assisting in preparing change requests - Report on internal and customer performance of projects - Ensure administrative activities are completed after project completion and handle project closure Qualifications Required: - Quickly adapt to evolving situations and adjust communication to meet diverse partners" needs - Keep the end goal in sight, putting in extra effort to meet deadlines - Analyze information accurately and observe group dynamics to select the best approach - Have a strong sense of accountability, working knowledge in Oracle, and hands-on experience in ERP and reporting tools - Proficient in MS Excel, Power BI, and related presentation tools - Self-starter with strong numerical, analytical skills and the ability to handle large volumes of data - Great teammate who can maintain positive relationships with team members - Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Additional Company Details: At Emerson, every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
